My name is Andria Hernandez. Flora and Fauna I love it all! A little story of how this adventure got started. When I was in sixth grade, my art teacher had us create a project where we declared what we hoped to be when we got older. I proclaimed I would be a Photographer. I always loved playing with my Dad’s cameras as a young girl. It was a natural affinity for me to take pictures. As I got older I never thought seriously about pursuing a career, it’s been a hobby throughout my adult life that was purely for my pleasure, to savor memories from my life. About ten years ago I was touring a gallery in San Francisco and I saw a portrait of blooms from a Dogwood tree in Yosemite, that was the spark that set me out into the wilds of nature with my own camera. Since that time I’ve been an avid hiker, mountaineer, all around Outdoor enthusiast. My interest in capturing my experiences with my camera and sharing the photos has been a joyous experience. All along the way, friends and family, have admired my captures and encouraged me to put them out there professionally.
In 2019 I had a wonderful experience visiting and photographing wild horses in Adobe Meadows of Mono County. My calling became clear to me. These photos have given me the needed boost to go professional and offer my work to the universe of wildlife and nature lovers out there. So, with a big, deep breath, I bit the bullet so to speak, and invested in this new adventure with this website. I hope you find something here that sparks a feeling of wonder or joy and that you decide to capture for yourself! Please join my email list and tell me about your interest and any comments inspired by my work. Thanks for visiting!
